Build only project which has been started and completed by the team, shows excellent core skills, lovely finish, great customer feedback, excellent value for money, effective use of products and demonstrates quality and technical ability. The project must match the customer brief and have been completed on time and as detailed.

SPECIAL FEATURE UNDER £35,000

We are looking for a special feature which has been built. It needs to be the standout part of the garden but fit within the setting. It needs to be unique and show good use of products whilst adding value to the garden.

PLANTING DESIGN UNDER £25,000

Planting design that has been completed for less than £25,000. You will need to demonstrate an understanding of the setting of the garden, client’s requirements, plants working well together, the structure of the planting design, and year-round interest.

HARD LANDSCAPING UNDER £50,000

Hard landscaping is the key to any successful project. This award will highlight exceptional hard landscaping work. It should be in keeping with the overall garden but standout within its own right whilst delivering quality and meeting or exceeding the clients brief, all for under £50,000.

DESIGN AND BUILD UNDER £50,000

Design and build project. It must have been started and completed by the team, show excellent core skills, meeting the customer’s requirements, with a lovely finish, great customer feedback, great value for money, good use of products and demonstrate quality and technical ability. The project must match the customer brief and have been completed on time and as detailed.

SUSTAINABLE GARDEN UNDER £50,000

Both designers and landscapers can enter this category. Consideration for the project’s environmental impact must be showcased, whether this is through incorporating biodiversity, choosing sustainably sourced or reclaimed materials, or ensuring the garden’s longevity. Plant choice will also be integral, and the project must have been completed on time and to a high standard.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING PROJECT UNDER £35,000

In this category, we’re looking for a garden that fully embraces the evening lifestyle, with a carefully planned and processed lighting element. As more people want to make the most of their garden, hosting late into the evening, lighting can set a mood, and allow full use of the garden at all times.

TEMPORARY INSTALLATION UNDER £50,000

This category is for the garden projects that aren’t permanent – whether that be a show garden at a garden show, an installation used to raise awareness for a cause, or a pop up garden for shoppers to enjoy for the summer at a shopping centre for example. We want to see a clear design flair, excellent build capabilities and a solution to any tricky areas that often come with short-timespan gardens.

COMMUNITY GREEN SPACE UNDER £50,000

In this category, we’re looking to highlight a garden created on a budget, for a community. This could be a charity garden on a high street, a memorial garden at a hospice, or an area for children to enjoy at a community centre for example. In essence, this garden should be used by a wide range of people and have elements that reflect that. Great design skills and top-quality execution in the build are a must. A good community story won’t hurt the application!

DOMESTIC ROOF GARDEN UNDER £50,000

This category is to reward the best rooftop garden in a domestic setting. As space at ground level dedicated to gardens decreases, and more urban areas are building upwards instead of outwards, we want to see roof terraces that will stand the test of time.
